all I'll say is that very few things elicit an emotional response from me, but when DQXI was formally announced and they released the opening the DQ main theme gets me every time and my eyes started to tear up. I resisted just straight up importing the game (in part because they charge like $85 for it in Japan), but I did pick up the PS4 re-releases of DQ1-3 in Japanese and just have been playing those for fun.
