Old School was a reboot of the 2007 version of the game. Your old stuff won't be there unless you made an Old School account since it launched in 2013.

well, it was weird. her old username was taken, and she had to create a new one.

Then she logged in, had her old character and old stuff, but she was eventually kicked.

she tried to log in again but was prompted to create a new character and all her old stuff was gone.

she looked up her character in the rune scape encyclopedia thing, and her character is still there.

You won't enjoy RS3 until you reach endgame where most of the content is. But if you ever reach that point, I'm certain the boss combat will be more enjoyable than anything 07scape bosses have to offer

I have no clue what happened to you by the context, but it's worth noting that screen names were taken from inactive accounts although you'd still have access to the account itself and would need to pick a new name on log-in. Otherwise, if you create a new character, of course you won't have stuff.
