Its actually very beautiful here but the politics, economics and utter lack of culture is acidic.

Both.

I grew up in Chico California and lived there for over twenty two years but then I moved to San Francisco and then to Los Angeles where i dwelled for 14 years moving in sept of 16 to Michigan.

Whereupon I was swiftly struck whilst in my car by an inattentive elderly woman who destroyed my vehicle in a fiery wreck and destroyed my left shoulder. I then was persecuted and enslaved for acquiring medicine to alieviate my discomfort of the alien steel in my shoulder. Now I find the climate altogether inhospitable.

I'd say move to Metro Detroit. There is a good area around Waterford and Lake Orion that is beautiful and many perks with so many lakes

Medical marijuana was legalized in Michigan.
I had a prescription.
I had a state issued card.

I was persecuted, tortured, enslaved, and insulted. All for following the law as put forth by Michigan. My poor wife was then threatened and assaulted and I was threatened that if I did not yield if I did not give up the ground of liberty upon whose true and firm and righteous ground I have always endevoured to strive upon; then my poor wife whom which had committed no offinse at all other that grant me boon to leave was set upon to be threatened even though through their good life she has nary even a traffic citation.
Is this thus a true righteous nation of liberty? Or a woeful den of profit?

As a fellow Michigander who lived out west for four years....I would still choose Michigan again. Then again, it seems as the weather is a big issue for you so I dont blame ya there. The winter isnt for everyone.

Does it have to be one or the other? I spent a week in Texas and thought that would be a fun area to live.
