Yes, but that doesn't mean I think they should be paid that necessarily.

Most people deserve more than they actually make.

I believe anyone who works full time should receive a liveable wage without too much government assistance. If that means $15/hr, then that should be their wage

Fuck no. They can't even handle the new technology and have the nerve bitch they're not getting paid enough to deal with it. As if some of these people could.

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-mcdonalds-mobile-app-20180313-story.html

"They added a lot of complicated things," Dickerson said. "It makes it harder for the workers."

Westley Williams said he's switching to a job at burger joint Checkers after being stretched too thin at McDonald's. Williams, 42, said he's quitting because of the chaos caused by mobile-app orders, new items and six recently added self-order kiosks.

From the very article you posted.

Employees are handling more tasks, in many cases, they say, without pay raises or adequate staffing

Last year, McDonald's said it employed 235,000 people, including corporate and restaurant workers. Each of those people generated $97,000 in revenue, compared with about $65,000 the year before. While this could be a sign of increased efficiency, it can just as well be seen as stretching thin an inadequate number of employees.

"It's more stressful now," said Williams, who added that he didn't get a raise for doing more work.

And people like you tend to say that they accept the wage when they start working, so you should be happy they're finding new jobs if they're not happy with their pay rate.

Be real, they're bitching and leaving because they can't handle simple technology and using the stressed and overworked excuse as a scapegoat. Fast food workers are always stressed and overworked. That's the nature of the beast.

Simple? That shit malfunctions all the damn time since the people running it can't program a flapping bird clone. And customers also suck at using it, so the workers have to guide them when half the time there's no training.

Yes. They'd have a reason to care about doing their jobs right and providing better customer service if they knew that that 15 bucks an hour was the best they're going to be making (if fast food was their best employment prospect). What's the point in trying hard when you can perform a shitty job, quit or get fired, then just get hired at the Chuck E Cheese down the street for the same pay but with less demanding customers and bosses?

Tipping brings their wages above 15 an hour. If this was your argument against raising your wages to 15 then all you're doing is saying that they deserve even more than that.

Another good point. Once a week my coworkers and I go to Wendy's and one of them always asks for no cheese on their burger. They get it right about 25% of the time.

Lot of franchises/companies don't allow their workers to take tips, and generally the populace doesn't know some places take tips. I know at my job most customers ask before they tip, and we get like maybe 1 tip a day.
