In my residency, I just need to put in the time and Ill for sure hit a high paying job with direct involvement into helping a small number of patients. But, Ill hit my ceiling quickly. Im placated until I pass my final ABR exam, but I dont know where Ill find meaning or what Ill have drive for after this.

My girlfriend is great. Things are progressing well. Im not looking for anyone else.

Im physically fit. Nothing great, but Im happy with my fitness level and I dont think the advantage of improving more will be well correlated with life-satisfaction.

I dont know what to do to improve my life anymore. I have no projects, and Im definitely not solving any important problem to the world while at work. I have my hobbies of programming and piano, but they dont have any impact.

So you do know what to do to improve your life. Start projects, do things of meaning to you, not your surroundings.
