Turtle rock was always the coolest. Badass entrance, level design. But I do like palace of darkness as well, finding your way through the forest and the monkey dude was pretty cool. The boss waa awesome because I like how his mask can be battle damaged. Besides that, fuck skullwoods and ice palace.

Hard to choose, they're ALL awesome. That said... Ice Palace could get kinda annoying and Turtle Rock basically froze you out if you ran out of magic (plus it had that one room you could only exit by mirror-warping out... fuck that room).

Skull Woods I loved because you could bypass 90% of the dungeon. However, the hand monster was a constant nuisance. I also liked the gimmick in the Thieves Town dungeon, although the first time through I got roadblocked since I didn't realize you could throw bombs.

idk, kinda tempted to say Ganon's Tower although it feels like cheating. It was a good-sized dungeon with a fair amount of content, plus it featured a neat redux of the pendant bosses... wait, does this count bosses? Because that would make it even tougher. Trinexx was probably the coolest boss, although the second Agahnim fight was more fun. Actually, the *only* DW boss who was a complete wash was the moth who died incredibly fast and had a lame battle area.

I can't really remember, but I always love Ice/Water themed places (not swamp), so Ice Palace I guess. I also remember liking the puzzles there.
