They're saying until a Snyder cut is released on Blu-ray to just don't buy it. They are giving the money they would have used to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention instead (Snyder exited directing to deal with family issues after his daughter's suicide)

Snyder has been gradually dripping out leaked scenes on his twitter and IG and some of the shit is pretty fucking cool and also confirms several fan theories and while they wouldn't completely transform the movie if you hated it, they add a bunch of neat little QoL things that you'd be able to look back on and say "Well that part was really well done"

Like the deleted scenes from TLJ.

Good god no. Snyder's Superman is easily the worst adaptation of a comic book character in the last few years. Runners up are Suicide Squad Joker and Snyder's Batman.

At least Whedon's Superman actually resembled the character. Which was difficult considering the shitty foundation he had to work with.

Snyder is the kinda guy who looked at Superman and thought "You know what this guy is missing? Another dead father figure"

Warner Bros forced Snyder to play catch up to Avengers and had a setback after Ryan Reynolds GL flopped superhard.

That's why that happened.

But they learned some valuable lessons from Wonder Woman and some even more valuable lessons about what not to do from Justice League so the future (Aquaman / WW2 / Shazam) is actually looking pretty optimistic.

Rumors are they're pegging Tom Cruise for Hal Jordan though and I really really am not happy with that.

Reminds me of the comic where once a year Superman goes to his arctic base and reads mail written from people on why he didn't save their grand dad or something. Dude has all this power yet he litterally cannot save everyone and people despise him for it and he amps that up by giving them an address to write him hate mail? Poor Clark needs a therapist. At least that's what I thought back then, I don't know if that's something he's always done or something the then writer felt fit a depressed and constantly struggling to do better Superman.

Yep. He didn't understand how much effort Nolan did to still making Bruce Wayne a heroic character. There's nothing like "It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you" or the whole Dark Knight speech. There's nothing that makes Superman feel like an actual inspirational figure. Snyder doesn't make those things a priority.

The thing with Snyder's Supes is that we never truly feel the weight of the world on his shoulders thanks to his powers. His character development is focused on his parents (who pretty much tell him not to do anything) and Lois. Snyder is more focused on how the world treats and deals with Superman and forgets to focus on how Superman treats and deals with the world.

At least Whedon tried to add more down to earth stuff with the character (unfortunately with a CGI mouth).
