I'm probably wrong, but I can't help but think that this is partially due to Pokemon standing for Pocket Monsters. I mean, they're called that because they fit in pokeballs, but I always thought there was supposed to be a pun too because Pokemon was originally on the Gameboy, a portable system. This is probably just a very small bias, though. I don't see how Nintendo could let that get in the way of making a quality series even better. They might have hung onto that '99/'00 craze a little longer if they would have made a Pokemon game for the Gamecube.

I just want a proper 3d pokemon game on the switch where i can actually see pokemon roaming around in the grass and such, doesn't have to be like 50 pokemon in 1 small area, but still, give us more than "you ran into that bush and a zapdos zapped your ass"
