He kind of brought them out of the hell hole they were in before. He turned them from one of the shittiest countries in Europe after WW1 to the richest in a matter of a few years. I think that's a pretty good reason to believe in someone. Then he kinda went nuts and killed a buncha people...

He wasn't even German. Just like Stalin wasn't Russian. Ted Cruz is technically Canadian, so be fucking terrified if he ever takes over America.

I think you uhh missed the point of the topic

But given that you linked to a video about "the Jews" in another topic from a channel that posts David Duke stuff I find this post highly suspect as well.

he kinda went nuts

He was chosen to rise up through the party in the first place because he was a powerful speaker/mouthpiece. "Mein Kampf" became like the Communist Manifesto of fascism.

He was the greatest politician of all time. His natural charisma, military nous, economic strategy turned Germany into a world leader.

He just had barbaric ideals. There's no question he was the greatest politician of all time though.

I ... uhh ... dude;
- He didn't turn Germany around single-handedly. They were already quite the industrial powerhouse, thus, you know, their powerhouse performance in WWI. The Treaty of Versailles gimped the country with epic repayments and limitations on their military. They were far from 'the shittiest country in Europe'.
- He was crazy the whole time. Mein Kampf was written before his rise to power.
- He actually left Germany in an even worse shape than he found it; it was literally turned into two puppet states divided up between two of the world's biggest powers. His faction was utterly crushed. His ideology was outlawed. The country took years to recover.
- He was even worse at military strategy and economics. He pretty much ignored all of his more intelligent advisors and basically had to be lead around on a leash for anything that didn't require him to give a fiery speech.

Pretending he was actually a good leader is willfully ignorant. He was a great speaker and he capitalized on pre-existing anger and biases to rise to power.

See above. He was a very, very poor military strategist, and not particularly good at anything but public speaking and capitalizing on people's fears and anger.

I watched a really good documentary om Hitler's rise to power last night

Basically, he started out as an unremarkable goon for the actual leaders in far right idealogy, doing groundwork and recruiting new people into their ranks in the streets and beer halls; in doing so, he developed a keen understanding of how to manipulate people and became a charismatic speaker. He was still a bumbling and awkward man by all accounts, but as a public presence he became absolutely imposing and quickly rose to the top of his political fringe. This trend continued as his party gained more power and he eventually seized control, then used that new platform and power to expand and become a force within the government. Then he started ousting his opponents etc etc

Basically he was a creep who could barely hold a conversation one on one, but knew how to put on a show
