Do you trust teachers with guns?

Incompetent Math Teacher, Dennis Alexander who teaches at Seaside High School in California is placed on leave after he accidentally fired a GUN in the CLASSROOM that hit a ceiling where debris fell and shot a STUDENT!!

He's also a reserve POLICE OFFICER who was teaching students on gun safety for his Administration of Justice class when his weapon went off at 120pm.

The gun was pointed towards the ceiling when it fired causing pieces of the ceiling fell on a kid

Fermin Gonzales says his 17 y/o son was injured and had to be taken to hospital for BULLET FRAGMENTS in his neck. He said the teacher told the class that he wanted to make sure the gun wasn't loaded when it suddenly went off

He said "It could have been very bad". School officials didn't check to make sure students were uninjured after the incident as well as the father said his son came home with blood on his shirt and fragments of the bullet in his neck.

His on was shaken up but will be OK thankfully but the police are disputing that a bullet hit hi and that it was just "debris or fragmentation"

Teachers are not legally allowed to carry heat in the classroom even if they have a permit as Police Chief Brian Ferrante is concerned why Alexander had a loaded gun in there

The school released a statement stating that they have counseling services available for those affected

This comes as Trump has vowed to ARM TEACHERS at schools to protect them for shooters before back tracking on his promise to raise the age limit of gun purchases and banning AR-15's but had a "good conversation" with the NRA that helped guide him in a different direction.

Do you trust teachers with guns?

When enough cases of armed teachers accidentally shooting students, or mistakenly shooting the wrong one b/c they mistook him for the school shooter occur, I guarantee the NRA's solution to the problem they created will be to arm the students, too

He was a police officer besides this. There's zero excuse for him here.

Probably more than I trust cops with guns.

There's zero excuse for him regardless. Anyone with a functioning brain cell could tell his "lesson plan" was a bad idea and not conducted safely, whether they've ever handled a gun or not.
And just because he's a police officer doesn't automatically make someone an expert at using a gun. A lot of police do desk work or other functions that don't involve handling a gun, and the required marksmanship training for their job is pretty minimal.
