I deleted it because it was something I wanted to get out, but not necessarily get into a debate over. I know that doesn't make sense.

I feel weird playing Doki Doki Literature Club because I'm playing as a high school student that joins a club to get into a relationship with one of four "cute" high school girls. All four want to be in a relationship with you and give you all of her love, one of which does everything to achieve this. She kills/deletes the other three characters and simplifies the game setting to just a room with the two of you, where she stares directly at you and talks on and on about herself and you. All of this is while displaying meta-intelligence of you and that this is a game, so there's a hint of her being a demon or something.

The game just utilizes the main trope common in Japanese manga and anime where the main character is a hundred/thousand-year-old alien, monster, dragon, demon, whatever, disguising itself as a high school girl to get into your pants, a trope that panders to lolicons and pedophiles.

I just felt and feel weird playing it because I'm lonely and would very much want a relationship where I'm loved and cared for, and yet, I don't want to feel like I'd give all of my love to a high school girl, if it's even a fictional character in a video game.

If that makes sense.

Yes.

It was interesting, though. I made a backup of her file, deleted, got her response how I'm mean, got credits, reloaded the game with the backup, and she called me cruel.
