At first, I thought to read "The Warrior of World's End" next. But, since I have two by the same author, I think I'd rather read them in chronological order by publication. I'm gonna go with "Tower at the Edge of Time".

The little sorceror returned to find his Master physically recovered from his encounter with Thane, but seething with an ice-cold fury.

"Master, what shall we do? This man is too dangerous. Perhaps another . . . ?"

"There is no other. He alone hath the Jewel of Amzar, as the Time Priest swore--hath it, or knows the secret of its power and can lead us to the time treasure. It must be he and no other--either by purchase, or by force, or by subterfuge, we must gain his services."

"And--after we are done with him?" the dwarfed sorceror slyly insinuated.

Prince Chan smiled a slow quiet smile.

"He shall die . . . leisurely . . . artistically. I have in mind that death called The Thousand Silver Kisses . . ."

The sorceror's slitted eyes gleamed hotly.

"Once on Yoth Zembis, ere I left the Brotherhood, I saw a man die that death, Master! It took almost a year for him to die . . ."

That writing style seems absolutely awful.

Still looking forward to it. Although, this seems more fantasy than the previous two, so that's part of why I'm excited despite the writing style.

Looking back at the poll I'm curious how the one written in 1930 will turn out. The concepts of sci-fi back then must've been pretty different.
