Doctor Who is a show for children.

"Wat"

He is sort of right.

Back in the 60's - 80's it was a show meant for kids. Nowadays while it still keeps a lot of the original stuff it is considered an adult show (or a show for 13+). Kind of like how Ren and Stimpy was considered a kids show back in the 90's, but now is rated 13+.

Trek, mostly because there's just more of it.

Of course not. If you think the movies are the only Star Wars material, I promise you you're missing out on awesome content.

The comics and animated series are leagues ahead of the new movies (not including Rogue One)

Books that never were very good, TV movies that were even worse, a handful of cartoons that aged badly, videogames, lego sets, and lego videogames.
Did I miss anything?

It really is too bad that Trek's knockoff-lego sets never were very good, yes.

Books that never were very good

The novels suck. The comics range from bad to must read.

We don't talk about the TV movies.

The Clone Wars is awesome and still looks good in blu-ray. Rebels just ended so there's no way it "aged" badly. Although I agree Rebels is basically great season premieres and great season finales with boring filler in between.

I was talking about "continuity" material, but if you include videogames, the KOTOR games that made the bioware formula, TIE Fighter was groundbreaking at the time and classic BFII is great fun.

I'm not really into legos.

It's a good thing then, for your own sake, that you've forgotten Droids and Ewoks ever existed.

All I remember being significantly memorable about Clone Wars, was the episode or two about that clone team, and that time Liam Neeson showed up.

This is the core point, really. Starwars is all over the place, from awful to great. Trek is more consistent, with even the boring bits of Voyager and the stupid bits of Enterprise not straying too much from the consistent quality (or mediocrity, depending on your perspective).

The Droids episodes were horrible. You just woke up a repressed memory.

There are lots of other highlights (my top 10 in spoiler tags in case someone decides to watch it)

1 - Mortis (The Father, The Daughter and the Son)
2 - Maul Mandalore
3 - Vos and Ventress (yeah that's a novel, the "canceled" episodes. You're free to consider it has no place in this list)
4 - Yoda learning the force ghost thing
5 - Ahsoka and the bombing of the temple
6 - Order 66 chip thing
7 - Maul's first appearance
8 - Clovis's return
9 - Obi-Wan's infiltration
10 - Children creating lightsabers (I love that we see how they do it)

I agree. Completely. Half of my interactions with Star Wars content as a fanboy is frustration and anger. But it's worth it because the great stuff is really, REALLY great.

I'm sorry I know nothing about Star Trek. Nothing against it (I'm not the kind of person who hates it because I love Star Wars, and I laugh at the "Is that Star Trek, the thing with the lightsabers?" jokes).
It's just that my dad practically raised me on comics, Star Wars, and Metal music, so I ended up a fanboy of those 3 things

The second word in the title. One's more about trekking, while the other is about warring.
