How big is the dog? Honestly it's reason for concern if he's small, pretty sure plastic isn't digestible and if its jagged it can cut his/her intestines. I'd be calling a vet asap.

This. A pick is sharp and inflexible. If the dog is anything other than big, consider trying to get it to vomit. Call a vet for advice - they may just ask you to get some ipecac at the drug store and make pupper puke.

He's 5 months old. He's not a small puppy. He's a medium sized puppy.

Yes. Take the dog to a vet or an animal hospital. At the very least, if your vet takes after-hour phone calls, call your vet and ask for advice, because (s)he is a trained medical professional with personal experience with your dog.

Would you pay a few hundred bucks to keep your dog from dying? If so, call or go to the vet. He loves you, so love him back.

Yeah, you should just go to the vet. Better to be safe than sorry.

You don't want to wait and then something serious happen.

probably was a big husky to poop it out. though in reality. TC is going to be facing much more than a 200$ vet bill. they have to open the stomach and remove the item.

i had to get minor surgery to remove blood that pooled in one ear because of a hematoma and have certain ear area stitched to prevent it from re-occurring. that was 400$.
(i could of left it alone but the dog was suffering) had to do something about it.
