Do you know how to relight your pilot light?

I guess this it more for the people who use gas to heat their houses...

Also, I didn't have room to put other... I had space, then ran out. So, specify it so...

Also, why, I guess...

Also, first choice meant to say "in".

In some places. It's big in my current, for example...

Most people use it for heat and stoves...

Even in my hometown. It's used much less there, but still used...

Especially in older houses...

gas > electric

gas stoves are the best. electric sucks because you don't have instant control of burner temp.

It is also more cost effective in a lot of areas and it is generally preferred for cooking over electric. I find it is better for hot water too, after having had both electric and gas.

Most furnaces made in the last 30 years have automatic pilot lights. If your pilot light goes out and your furnace is just blowing cool air, you literally can just flick the power off to your furnace, wait a few seconds, and then flick the power back on. I've done this a few times and it always works. I did it at a friend's house once, too.

If that doesn't work, you need to replace the pilot light assembly.

I definitely like it for my water heater much more than electric...
