I just took it as them pretending they were normal and just taking it too far so they circled back around to weird. I wouldn't look into it any deeper than that.

If anything didn't make any sense it's how stupid everything got in the last few minutes.

Some of them act "weird" because they're old. Like from the late 1800s/early 1900s. Their mannerisms are from a different era and, on top of that, they're not trying to reveal their ploy.

the racism depicted in the movie is one of admiration so they do seem to act accordingly, sorta like fanboys of blackness xd.

iirc we only see 3 body thieves, the grandparents from another era(explaining their freaky behaviour) and the gtfo guy who behaved like a very stereotypical old(white) man.

overall the transplant still isn't perfect even without the flash reactions as evidenced by the scene with the grandmother ending up teary-eyed.
