idk i love amazon and i love prime. i like that they have a ton of services. i buy almost everything on amazon because it's so convenient and the prices are reasonable for almost everything. plus they have tv, music, restaurant and grocery delivery services. i even buy stuff like household cleaners on there.

I have Prime, it's easily justifiable with everything I get from Prime, no one service I get is worth it but as a whole it is.

That said, fuck Kindles, don't buy that garbage. Kobo makes the superior e-readers.

If you're not impatient and are willing to wait an extra 3-4 days for delivery, and tend towards larger orders, you can easily never pay a single penny on shipping from Amazon even without Prime.

I've ordered thousands of dollars (possibly tens of thousands of dollars) worth of stuff from Amazon over the last decade or so, and I'd be hard-pressed to think of a single order where I paid shipping on anything that wasn't "used" product coming from a third-party seller.

Depends on the model of e-reader honestly. Kobo and Kindle are often going head to head, sometimes Kobo has the better product, sometimes Kindle does. I tend to prefer Kobo myself thus why I consider it the superior e-reader. From a purely feature and cost standpoint they're often nearly equal or going back and forth on which is better.
