I'm making good money, have good work-life balance and the job is pretty good from a technical standpoint. I'd like to ride it out for at least another year actually.

i honestly thought i'd be able to get there with relative ease since i thought i liked my job and my coworkers, but these past couple of days have been miserable

I mean, the pay is kinda weak. But I do almost nothing all day, and I'm done at 1 p.m. every day. Plenty of time for hiking when the weather allows, and plenty of time for whatever otherwise. Plus I only drive 5-10 minutes.

I don't plan on quitting any time soon.

Well duh? Go to ask desk job or cubicle in America! Surf the net in your box and wait till the clock strikes 5. A lot of people dont do work in the literal sense, all we do is gossip and surf the web and eat snacks at the desk. Some pleasure themselves.

No just a regular cubicle desk job. If that was the case you would fire 90% of the employees since literally everyone just sits around and waits for the clock to strike 5. We would literally spend about half the time gossiping, sitting at each others desk, lots of people "look" busy but never do an ounce of work! I would say most of the workers are useless so if they are gone there would only be 6 figure people!

Pretty much ready to quit. I am in the planning phase of starting my own business. Going to sell my house, but a storage locker facility with an on-site house so I have 0 commute time, build that business until I can buy a second site, then continue growing.

I am probably going to sell my house and just drop off my badge and laptop one day without putting in 2 weeks. hate it so much.

I alway want to quit, but I won't. I hate everything about my job except that it's 4 day weeks. My love of 3 day weekends is stronger than the hate I have for my job.

What helps is if they have personal days. I take "sick" days ALL. THE. TIME.

Really fucking bad, fortunately, I've already gone on two interviews with this company and they pretty much said they plan on extending an offer after they speak to my references, so hopefully I only have roughly 2 weeks left here.

I mean my coworkers are awesome and 3/4 managers are good, but at the end of the day it's a shitty retail job. Very little room for growth, very little pay, an awkward schedule, micromanaging out the wazoo from one manager, being spread thin between multiple tasks (all of which are so incredibly tedious that I can feel my brain rotting) and basically being treated as less than a human being and having to kiss ass because "lol retail".
