I know I have friends that care about me, but I'm like just a backup plan when they have nothing better to do, so they do care, but just not close to how much I care about them, how do I fix this?

You can't. Sometimes trying will have the opposite effect. There have been people who tried way too hard to be my friend and just ended up annoying me.

You can't make anyone care more. This may work, though. You could always talk to them and explain how you feel. This has a low chance of working, but it could. Don't try to manipulate them, though. That can turn out bad. I don't want to say find new friends. But you may get friends who care a little more...
