The US Army wants to stop a fan favourite on St. Patrick's Day shenanigan in Savannah Georgia that for decades had marching soldiers with cheeks smeared in red lipstick..

200 soldiers from Fort Stewart take part on the March 17th parade which organizers say draw 500,000 people. Savannah's irish immigrants and their descendants marched on the street since 1824 as women in the crowd traditionally wear red lipstick as they get all hornied up and wait for marching soldiers stroll down the street..and then approach to KISS THEM!!

But the commanders upstairs are becoming a killjoy as they want the smooching to STOP as they are asking adjutants to turn these rushing women away

Spokesman Kevin Larson said "They need to look like soldiers when they march, they need to look professional and strong and brave. It's hard to look professional as a soldier with red lipstick on your cheeks. Red lipstick is not a part of the uniform and it shows weakness"

Kissing the troops, irish or not has been a staple for 40 years

Brian Counihan said "It was sporadic, a few of your girlfriends and your mos would run out. in the last six or eight years, it's come to a point where the military's almost halted..it's a fun thing but it's gotten out of hand"

Organizers also claim they want to avoid any 'sexual misconduct" claims as started by the #MeToo movement since several women who are mostly strangers rush to the men to give the a kiss.

The Army is very strict on soldiers showing PDA while in uniform as they've made rules to restrict that kind of affection as well
