When me and my friends got back into this we had one friend who loved using thus card and at the time we used meta decks along with old ban cards.

Thus card was so disruptive that we all agreed to ban it along with monster reborn. He's use thus card to save him from loosing.

The "Jar" line is indeed just broken in general. They first existed at a time where cards weren't as interconnected so Morph Jar 1 and 2 were cool but not uber broken. Now, they're ridiculous. Fiber Jar is silly, but Morphing Jar discards all the cards in both players hands then gives them another FIVE cards. Unimaginable in the modern meta.

Honestly, modern YGO I find the overrating of draw power questionable. GY toolboxing is still fucking op, but there's so much search power in decks now and freaking Saryuja doing draw 4, bottom 3 bullshit that's barely a cost honestly that may as well be a search card for just how good it is. Draw power still being a cut an entire arm for cost for some decks and 1 draw that's inconsequential for other decks while some decks having access to both big draws and big searches are getting a bit ridiculous.

Of course Links slowing down the meta thing is a meme at best now because duels end on the dice roll all the time
