Pretty much, yeah. Swedish courts don't have jurors, they have something similar called something like "councilmen". These are nominated by the political parties, however the purpose isn't that they should make politics, only apply the law. Anyone can be nominated to be a councilman. In the lowest court instance there is one judge and three councilmen. IIRC the higher instances have 3:2 favoring judges with law degrees and finally 5:0.
So in this case, two councilmen from the same party (I forget what BL usually calls them, they're kinda neolibs but I suppose these two were Muslim?) found the evidence weak and justified the verdict by stuff like "Women often lie about these things", "She didn't contact her in-law family before the police, that's weird", "She didn't cry while testifying in court", "He was from a better family". The judge on the case thought this was really weird but couldn't do much. And now as this has gotten attention, the party that nominated these two have really denounced the verdict, and there's been a lot of discussion about changing the system because it's a bit weird to have political parties nominating councilmen.

I have no clue who he is so I'm not gonna call him a nazi, but judging by this video he does seem like a typical rightwing stooge. And presumably agrees with him that it's horrible? He certainly didn't claim they had differing views.

I don't understand why the hardcore Islamists pushing Sharia law are always women (Linda Sarsour is just as dedicated for making America follow Sharia law). They're aware they would be opressed to hell and back don't they?

You may be right about the far right propaganda, but it is a bit of a stretch to assume someone has a great grasp on the situation in a country just because they live there. People can be politically ignorant or blind to aspects of their own country.

It may be complicated in the case of Sweden in that whole Opinion Corridor phenomenon is a real thing. If it is, even if the right wingers did have something resembling a decent point about Muslim immigrants, most Swedes would hesitate to admit it.

also, this isn't the first time this woman has gone off the deep end.

she spoke openly about wanting to implement Sharia laws, and that "Swedish law should adapt or have exceptions for Muslims" all the way back in the 2010 election (some sources say even 2006), and has been allowed to practice in court ever since.
who knows what kind of shit she managed to get in below the radar in that time?

the fact that Centern even let her in for so long, even though they knew what kind of person she was, speaks volumes of what kind of party they are.
