Not to be that guy, but i think the 328i was the previous generation entry level 3 series. The current one is the 320i.

I drive in the correct lane, let people out, and use indicators and fog/head/sidelights correctly.

I have a Subaru and a Mercedes and an Aston Martin.

You gotta wonder about those folks who get the 320i. That thing will have less features and power than your average Toyota Camry.

"I use my signals" is a bit of a blanket statement. Do you actually use them how they're intended to be used, or do you lightly flick the stick to flash once as you're halfway in the other lane?

As a poor boy who drove all the cheap plastic cars and as a grown man with a college education who now drives a luxury car, I can tell you that this has been a mystery to me. All of the entry level luxury cars such as the C & CLA class Mercedes, 3 & 2 series BMW, 3 and 4 series Audi, i 200-300 series Lexus; they are all garbage. Youre paying $35,000 for a vehicle that comes equally equipped as a Honda Civic for $18,000? What the **** are you thinking? Ive come to the very sad conclusion that people LITERALLY purchase these vehicles for social status. Just so they can say I drive a BMW. In reality they are losing big time.. imagine paying large sums of money to slap yourself in the face. The middle category and top category are in a league of their own . E class, S class, 5 series, 7 series, A8, those are all the ones that offer features that you simply do not get on Hondas. True innovation that is unconoromised and not for sale in the lower vehicle segments is the definition of luxury. The cars practically drove themselves, have automatic closing doors, etc.

Only young idiots, and old fools buy the entry models for luxury cars. Which ironically, is the ones you see the most on the street... you rarely see an S class. It shows peoples intelligence. Theyre willing to buy something for bragging rights, not because theyre actually getting their moneys worth.

To be fair to the CLA, the 45 is pretty sick. But yeah, the 250 is a blender for sure.

The 45 is not considered entry. Any AMG series is a thoroughbred sports car. Likewise for M series. Theyre supercharged beasts. No different than buying a mustang, it just so happens the sports engine is placed in the shell of a luxury car on the outside. And you definitely pay for it lmao. That new E class AMG that has Lamborghini 0-60 speed is $110,000 MSRP I believe.

Edit: same thing for the new 5 series M sport BMW. 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. The new E class and 5 series sport versions are MONSTERS. That kind of speed in a straight line equals most Ferraris and lambos. Makes me think, why pay 400k for that Ferrari when ill Get the same straight line performance for 100k. Albeit I wont be able to corner as good, but who the hell takes 90 degree corners, we all drive in the city, get real.
So, the new AMG and M cars are a STEAL for their performance.

Yeah, CLA 45 was one of the cars I looked at the most. Thing is a god damn rocket, Jesus Christ.

Ended up ordering a TTS. Same price range/specs but with a way nicer interior.

And yeah that new E-Class is bananas, there's one in the local show room and even with a Yellow GT in the same room, it stands out.

Oh sh** are you gonna buy it?! Post some pictures for us. I just saw a guy driving it when I was driving home. That thing sounds so sweet, the AMG exhaust are some of the best in the business. I heard crackles and Pops and mini rockets when he flew by me. Definitely a head turner. And it is a rocket, something around 3.5 sec for 0-60? That will throw your ass back in the seat pretty good.

Luxury vehicles are conspicuous consumption, so it's really the badge that people are looking for. Features and content be damned.

I know better, of course. When the average person sees a FWD CLA250, they think "A Mercedes!" I say to myself that a V6 Accord is larger, cheaper, has more content, better reliability, better fit and finish, and will smoke it five times to Sunday.
