I'm making a thai styled salad with non traditional thai flavors in it, asian inspired flavors.

It will have ground beef, veggies, rice noodles and then the sauce, which will be all new things for me to use mostly which is Maggi soy, Korean red chili paste and mirin, I'll have lime juice too.

Plan: A fresh spicy dish with nice umami roundness.

You really need to go be a chef, or go on TV, like Masterchef, or Top Chef or something. You inspire me to cook something better than ramen.

That's incredible, put it in a professional cookbook or a menu. I'd eat it just looking at that pic.

I believe there is artistry in food, as much as on canvas and sculpting. You sir, have a talent, and it's wasted posting pics on CE. I wish you would pursue this.

I'm done washing your carrot for now, but seriously, you need to do this as a career and you can be great at it.

Cooking is my hobby, it's not a job I'm pursuing, I am currently expanding my hobby to start eventually making videos. But I have to learn a lot that comes with filming and editing etc.

I'm waiting for my ground beef to thaw before I start up with the dish, need to cook the beef and the noodles first so they get to go down in temperature. Dish is gonna be a room temp dish.

Ew no. I thaw it in bowl of water (it's in a plastic bag), not warm water. I don't want to put heat on it to start the cooking process, gonna make the meat worse.

Recipie.

Meat:
100 grams of ground beef
1 cleft of garlic
1 small shallot
A pinch of cilantro stems
Red chili flakes (of one chili)
Small piece of ginger (same amount as garlic)
White pepper
Maggi soy sauce
1 tsp of Korean Chili Paste

Chop the garlic, cilantro, shallot and ginger into small pieces and then toss them in a hot pan along with the chili flakes with oil until they soften, set them aside. Then fry the ground beef on the frying pan, add some of the soy sauce (couple of tsps, to taste until enough salty), add a 1sp of the chili paste, couple of pinches of ground white pepper and then the garlic cilantro etc back to it. Fry until done, set the meat aside.

Do the rice noodles now, just pour boiling water on top, 3 minutes then put the noodles in ice water to cool down.

Salad:
Cucumber, red bell pepper, leek, shallot, sherry tomato. Cut them into whatever pieces you want, I preferred bit bigger pieces for nice crunch for the cucumber and bell pepper, the onion and leek can be bit smaller to infuse the flavors to it.

Sauce:
2 tsp of korean chili paste
couple of tsp of mirin
couple of tsp maggi soy sauce
Lime juice of half a lime
Mix all that, taste, it should have a sweet and sour umami bit salty nice flavor to it.

Assembly:
Mix the meat, noodles and salad together, add the sauce, taste if you need to add more.

Yeah? It's not part of the cooking process. Have it fresh, or thaw it earlier etc.

Its not too hot, the chili paste is a bit hot but not much. Thr dried chili I used for flakes is kinda hot tho.

Dish couldve been made hotter but it was enough.

Definitely consider adding some peppers to the sauce. I mean, a ghost pepper would work with the region, but I'd say go for something like a habanero pepper in the sauce. They pair well with sweet and savory sauce flavors, imo.
