Over the weekend we decided the greatest game, wasn't and that it needed a lot of work including..

- Getting rid of that annoying ass owl
- Getting rid of that annoying ass fairy
- infinite dash on Epona
- adding post game content
- make more of Hyrule relevant
- just make the game Majora's Mask

Today is the remake of what many consider to be the best generation of Pokemon, HeartGold/SoulSilver.

This one confuses me because I thought it was highly regarded among fans.

I'd say battle speed needs to be increased, but that's an issue with Gen 4 overall.

Fix the Kanto pokemon levels

Fix the Mahogany arc levels.

Put Gen 2 Pokemon in Johto (like Houndour, Larvitar, Sneasal) instead them catchable in late game Kanto

Give you the GB Sounds item at the beginning of the game instead of the end. Actually, just make it a menu setting instead of an item.

That's it, that's all I'd change. Outside of unrealistic things like "put gen 5 Pokemon into the game".

1. The level curve is better than G/S/C but still clunky. Wild Pokemon are often way too underleveled, and trainer Pokemon levels can vary a lot even in the same location.

2. Gen 4's engine is a bit sluggish. Not as bad as Diamond/Pearl, but it's noticeably slow.

3. The female player character was much better designed in Crystal than in HG/SS.

Otherwise they're pretty much perfect.

Most of the OoT ones are fucking stupid... but understood, given who was saying it....

Infinite Dash is beyond stupid, as it in LITERALLY every game it's in unless there is some legit reason for it (Leon in RE4 for instance was special forces, and trained for such.

Even dumber is post game. It's a god damn Zelda game clowns.

The entire point is explore everywhere before you finish the game. Post game is so counter intuitive.

As for today.

Make Rock Climb not mandatory for Mt Silver.

Change the experience system to the way it is in generation 5, so leveling Pokemon isn't incredibly slow.
Faster battle speed in general.
Raise most wild Pokemon levels, they're too low for nearly the entire game.
Better Pokemon variety in Johto, there just aren't all that many and the same Pokemon appear in different areas too often.
