I mean...how many people are actually transexual / want to be / are non-binary, etc? It's such a non-issue. It seems like about 3 or 4 years ago, people suddenly started talking about it lots out of nowhere. I don't think there was a high profile case that kickstarted things.

No idea. As said, it should be a nonissue. Before Jenner, we have been using the bathrooms of out choice forever. Never problems. Now, we worry about being clocked because we have too much attention. It is why some of us need to reassure the naysayers that we are good people.

Well I thought I was transgender and made steps towards living as a woman, got on the waiting list for a gender identity clinic and alienated myself from my family then suddenly one day realised I was making a terrible mistake and fucking my life up.

The gay argument is over, gays won. The weed argument is just about over, weed's gonna win within the next few years. We need another argument to focus on for giving people more rights.
