Not to mention there's numerous stories about crime and gang problems in schools, as well as students who get into fights during class either with each other or the teachers. And introducing a gun into those situations doesn't help anything but potentially lead to a horrible situation. Also the fiscal waste is crazy.

The teachers already work in a stressful environment with loads of expectations thrown on them along with very little salary to actually spend as well as time since most of them are either working a second job or working on lessons as well as the needs of other kids, this is just running them even thinner and when you do that to a person they start to deteriorate mentally so do you want overworked, underpaid and mentally destabilized adults around firearms and a stressful work environment?

The thing I'm concerned about are teachers who are already unhinged getting guns. I know at least one teacher who taught at my high school I wouldn't want with a gun, concealed or otherwise. She literally got arrested for assaulting a student and can't teach anymore. I don't even want to think of what would have happened had she had a gun on her at the time.

Not to mention we can't even trust teachers not to have sex with their students. :v We're supposed to trust them with deadly weaponry now too?

i mean 10 teachers per school isnt a lot and a lot of teachers tend to be law enforcement and military background already on top of having ccw's they cant use on school grounds.

i dont like this idea regardless, but lets not assume its going to be a complete train wreck and turn schools into iraq either. you just have to find the right individuals who can handle it.

It's really sad when gun owners refuse to change their lifestyles even in the slightest, while schools and children are forced to change the way they operate and live just to protect themselves from possible shootings.

I'm sadly counting down the days until a student gets shot by a teacher.
