It can be done. Im an American living in London so if you have any questions, let me know. Some things that will help:

- Do an overnight flight on the way there and try to sleep on the plane. Stay up as late as you can the first night to adjust to the time difference.

- The Dublin to London Gatwick flight is about an hour and 15 minutes.

- You might want to bookend (first day then last day) in Dublin. Theres much more to do in London.

- In London, definitely check out the Tower and if you want to get some good pictures, do the Eye at sunset as the lights are starting to come on. That it is optional.

-Try to avoid the tube between 8:15-9:45am and from 5-6:30 at night, especially the Central line. Plan that time for meals or sleep in a bit.

- If you want to see the changing of the guard, at Buckingham Palace, youll probably have to take the morning tube. Ive done it twice, and dont think its worth it.

I havent done much exploring in Dublin so cant help there much.

I didnt see that you want to leave on a Saturday. Try Friday night overnight if you can. Youll get an extra day.

Where are you flying from?

I flew out of Chicago. Went to work Friday, got to Ohare and did a 9pm ish flight and got into London before 10am. Dublin would be even earlier and youd get more time.
