there's something of a trend with superheroes quietly letting tears loose that you might miss it when not paying attention(not just in the MCU).

I watched it at the peak of the hype and didn't care for it. It was mostly just the novelty of having them all together.

The ending is a straight up Michael Bay Transformers rip off.

Hulk and Loki scene is still 11/10 tho.

Fantastic movie. Still holds up. Weaker as a stand alone, but as the climax to all the phase 1 movies it's incredible.

The action in it is still pretty top shelf. The whole final act in NY's so well done showcasing everyone, having combos, just great choreography. Mmm. Good stuff.

I was literally contemplating rewatching the Avengers movie recently. Been rewatching stuff that reminds me of how great it was, such a fantastic movie all around. It truly changed the world, something like it had never been done before. Attempted sure, but never done and Avengers did it fantastically.

Definitely gonna rewatch it. So amazing.

It does suck that the movie universe and tv universe will never intersect, and hell even within the tv universe the different streaming networks will not intersect. It doesn't make for a true connected universe but we can't expect that to ever happen so oh well.

It's a little annoying that they actually had Sif in Agents of Shield and they were like "oh by the way, don't tell Thor" and she was like "ok" in order to not make it seem even more bizarre that the avengers don't know coulson is alive yet. He's literally been on the news hasn't he? Just unfortunate, but I've learned to accept it since season 2.

For 3 seasons, ive had hope that AoS or at least Coulson will be acknowledged in the mcu.

But no, the nearest they got to that was in age of ultron when fury said he got the helicarrier from a couple of friends.

I'm really surprised you dislike it. Did you only watch a couple of episodes in season 1? A lot of people seem to feel that way out of the first few episodes. I don't of course, I liked it from the get go, from the very beginning it had a buffy scooby gang feel to it mixed with a bit of firefly, and for the life of me I can't understand why anyone would dislike that. At least, people who grew up on buffy and like shows such as firefly.

Then the twist happens and the show only gets better from there, and I particularly like season 2 for being so amazing and solving plot elements I never thought they'd ever tackle, and doing it so well. Its finale kept me on the edge of my seat more than avengers 2 of the same year ever did, that's how good it was, besting a movie.

Season 3 starts out good and then deteriorates, season 4 starts out bad because of season 3 but then gets really really good. I'm waiting to binge season 5 at a later date.

It's canon and while the characters themselves don't interact with the movie characters, the storylines every season do. Especially after Winter Soldier.

Seasons 4 and 5 have become entirely different shows with the writing seeing great improvements and heavy-hitting episodes not typical for broadcast TV. The Matrix/framework arc is one of my favorite arcs of TV.

Season 3 towards the end briefly mentions Civil War and the Sokovia Accords. Season 4 ties in with Strange with the darkhold and Ghost Rider. Not sure if Season 5 will tie in or not.
