Terrible.
There was a brief period when I was a senior in high school and she was in college where we sort of got along, but everything before and after that was awful. My sister is entitled af. I don't even talk to her anymore unless it's unavoidable.

Haha. My sister tried helping me hook up with a friend she got later on that I already knew in middle school. I tried but she was out my league and already involved with my cousin. Not gonna lie. I didn't give a fuck about the whole cousin situation when I was trying

I'm two years older than my sister. Almost all her friends had crushes on me growing up; she couldn't invite them over for dinner without them hanging on to and giggling at my every word.

One time, one girl named Sarah was over at our house getting ready for their junior prom. She really wanted me to go with her, but I wasn't really interested in her like that. She asked me the one favor: to kiss her before the dance, just once... I obliged. A year later we started dating, and I'd visit her almost every weekend at college. I'll always have a soft spot for her.

Did she at least flush the toilet? I know my brother would die if he even touched the handle, if I made him flush his shit he would push it with his foot (which was always muddy because he refused to wear shoes when he went outside, I guess he thought it was cute for a preteen boy)

I have 2 younger sisters

I used to fight a lot with the older one, but then when I was in grade 12 she was starting high school and we started to have mutual friends, we were in the musical together, etc. then I went away for university. we're pretty close now.

my other sister is more similar to me, and we've always gotten along better.

The worst part was there was so little crossover between the toys we played with since they were different sizes, so it was one or the other and they absolutely sucked at playing with action figures. They didn't understand the political intrigue or the hero's journey. I always tried to explain it to them but they just sat there staring at me with empty eyes.

Their way of playing seemed so much more limited by comparison. It was like everything was over before it even began. Ok, so we dress up Barbie and Ken and then they try to infiltrate a drug-smuggling ring, right? No. We dress them up and then we put them away. Polly Pocket could have been some magical elf creature on a wondrous journey through a human sized room, but instead she just sat there on her plastic seat with the same empty eyes. I wanted so much to connect with my sisters this way but it just wasn't going to happen.

Overall though I'm happy I had so many sisters. I'm way more comfortable around girls without it having to be sexual and I understand girl humor, which a lot of guys apparently don't.

My biological sister has always been, and will always be, a worthless pile of shit. I've spent as far back as I have memories avoiding her worthless ass. I likely will never speak to her again.

My not blood sister, however, is absolutely perfect. I can honestly say we've only argued once, and it was when she stopped me from killing my brother. I can't imagine having a more perfect sister.

I really love that I don't have to live with her anymore. No more getting woken up at 3am every other night to her blaring radio alarm set in my room (then whining to parents every time I took the cord for it because I "stole her stuff"). No more random piles of garbage or just deciding to randomly pull out the contents of every drawer when she walked into a room. No more physical fights, especially with the youngest brother who was therefore weaker, and then pretending to cry and acting like he started the fights (I don't have to speculate - she flat out said this to mock him when he was sent to his room). And a whole bunch of other awful behavior that got the cops called on her once, and kicked out of the house for months more than once. Honestly I wouldn't care if she dropped off the face of the earth.

I didn't grow up with my half-siblings. I grew up with my cousins for a while though, so it's probably like growing up with any other family member. Depends on how much you like each other. Some of em, your best friends with. Some of em you'd visit with. Some of em you wish would take a long drunken drive off a tall cliff.

I had the opposite experience. My little sisters totally bought into my nerdy storylines Id come up with for our stuffed animals or action figures/dolls. Led to some awesome hybrid experiences.

Honestly my relationship with my sister is not what I'd call "close".

It's not bad or anything. We're just so different as people. Sure, we played together as kids, we fought, we talked, etc.

But as we grew older and found our identities and interests, we grew apart. I enjoyed my introversion. She enjoyed her extroversion. I played video games and read books. She played sports and socialized.

She's currently living in South Carolina with her daughters (I'm in Mass), and I love them all dearly and see them whenever I can, but whenever we talk, there's always so little to talk about between us. Rarely do we fight or disagree, but rarely do we connect either.

I guess what I'm saying is that in some cases brothers and sisters can be so different that there's no continuing relationship apart from the one defined on you by blood.

Everyones definitely spot on with the younger sisters friends all fall in love with you aspect too. Led to some confusing times tbh, because my sister is like 3.5 years younger than me, so the age gap was always just too much to ever even really consider acting on.

Luckily I was smart enough not to even at peak stupid horny teen status, but it was a tough time of life to be a 19 year old nerd fresh out of high school who got bullied the whole time, and then suddenly these girls you couldnt have dreamt of dating three years prior are all over you. I could never even muster up justifying a 19-16 age gap though, just felt wrong.

Im talking 10 years ago. But I just remember her talking about being paranoid about her friends while we were sitting alone in the kitchen. I comforted her and it somehow lead to me rubbing her shoulders and that's when my sister threw me in the basement and I passed out. I was 18 and lit so shit maybe things were different than what I thought but Im not a person who ever gets called out for bad perception and I hang out of with brutally honest people. In the end you can never be 100% right and I don't trust anyone who claims to be. Shows a certain level of ignorance
