The Switch has all the games the Wii U has (except Smash but it'll have that within the next year or so), has an amazing library in store for it over the next few years, is a lot more convenient, bigger screen, less clunky gamepad, and doesn't need you to plug in a brick

Not yet. It's still missing, aside from Smash, Super Mario Maker, The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, both of the Zelda HD games, Super Mario 3D World, Xenoblade X, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

FPS games are garbage, Mario Maker will be on it shortly. It's also not "super expensive", though it does cost more than the Wii U

The Wii U gamepad is terrible and it has always sucked for playing games on and it is completely useless unless you are playing it in the same room as the console.

One of the worst design decisions ever.

Not nothing. Also some platformers and life sims. Currently playing Stardew Valley on my Switch and will be playing Yooka Laylee next

It comes with a Joy Con dock that's basically used like a regular controller. Works just fine for me.

Yeah, for all the fuss they made about you being able to play the game away from the console--while other family members watched TV, for example--the range on that thing was really pitiful.

In that respect, it did seem like a prototype Switch.

In that respect, it did seem like a prototype Switch.

It was definitely a prototype for what the Switch does, but nowhere near as good. In the end it became a shitty dual screen experiment that confirmed how nobody wants to be trying to stare at two screens at once when playing games on their TV. Now I just consider it a great Virtual Console machine.

You're right, and this along with the controls is what killed my interest in Star Fox Zero.

Hopefully they port that to the Switch, without any of that bullshit.
