A cyber security company held a presentation there. The food was pretty good. I had the steak (rare) and shrimp. They also had some potatoes au gratin that was pretty good.

Would eat there again.

It is. I'm most likely only gonna go if I'm not paying for it, lol. That was apparently their 3rd time inviting people from our IT group to go. Will go next time.

They serve streaks on these insanely hot plates, which cook it more.

I always ask for a steak on a room temp plate.

i guess if you want to break the bank then it's better than nothing, but i'd like to think that in any general big downtown area should have a one-off local restaurant that is much better than a nationwide chain

The sweet potato casserole is the nectar of the gods.

I like the restaurant as a whole but I wish it wasn't a chain. I feel like it waters down the name. Call me a boujee bastard I guess.

It's the go-to chain for people who think they're eating fancy.
And not a dig at people who like it. It's good for what it is and is definitely better than most chains.

It's perfect for situations like TC was in since companies prefer organizing events at chains. It's just that anywhere that has a Ruth's Chris definitely has local restaurants that are better for a similar price so if it's a smaller event, it's not worth it.

I remember the last time I was at Ruth Chris. I was in Baltimore inner harbor (it was the restaurant attached to the hotel I was staying at) and had their surf & turf. Filet mignon and lobster tail which I believe was stuffed with crab Oscar style. Was pretty decent.
