They do that here in Thailand. Can't fail students. I got 2 grade 1 students who got around 40% each in math and science. I still have to give them 60% on their report catds

They should probably start banning the term "friend" too, because it's exclusionary and will make the kids that aren't your friends feel bad.

I don't quite understand how someone even starts thinking about this as an issue that needs fixing, but if a person gets themselves to that point, I really don't understand how they wouldn't get to this conclusion.

Yeah I remeber being aware of the lies adults tell their kids alot when I was young and instinctively knew that a lot of rhe stuff people say is just made up bs.

Bwing a kid fucking sucks man. I honestly can't see why any adult would want to be a kid again. You have no freedom and people talk down to you all the time.

Also, one thing I find interesting, is the notion that's thrown around that school is meant to prepare kids for the real world, yet there's no method for kids to engage in actual conversations about what they're being taught or even how it's being taught.

High School students in particular should have some say in the methods used to teach them as they probably have a good handle on the ways they learn most effectively by that point.

Yet they are left out of it completely, but in every job I've ever had, higher ups have always asked for suggestions to improve methods or proccesses we use to do things. Good bosses usually leave methodolgy up to the workers entirely and focus solely on results.
