What if I told you cartoon characters have no race, because they are cartoons?

I'd respond by pointing out that you're objectively wrong

Rurouni Kenshin was one of the few good live action Manga/Anime -> Live Action.

Lots of Shoujo series are easy to turn into good J-Drama's; but that's an entirely different section of fandom.

Mostly true when Non-Japanese folk try to make it happen.

When the Japanese try to do it, it has some successes.

e.g. Live Action Rurouni Kenshin Trilogy.

That's why we shouldn't trust American's to make Anime into Live-Action.

Just have them give the Japanese a large check and tell them to make it happen after some planning.

US should just air the film with subtitles and call it a day.

It's just how the US directors butcher it by changing the premises of the adapted film. Like why make Light a whipped teenager who gets manipulated by his girlfriend when in the original he's cold hearted and cunning? Also don't just whitewash the main characters like in Dragon ball evolution or Ghost in the Shell. You already have Asian cast members in there but you use a white lead seems out of place and has the 'white savior' undertone in it.

Japan is a more homogenous nation so they don't have the resources to hire white actors.

I never said all of them were good, just some of them.

Which is why I pointed out the examples in my previous posts.

Which is still a far better track record than the Americans.

That's why the West needs to pony up the $$$ and leave the Japanese to take care of the Production.

Non-Japanese people probably make it close to 3% of the population, what are the odds that even from those 3% would they have an occupation in the entertainment or movie industry? I would say rather low. I mean not to say that Japan doesn't have it's xenophobia problems, but I think you're simplifying the idea a little too much just placing blame on that alone.
