Effects look okay. I do feel the actor playing the main character (Edward) is a bit too old for the part, although that's a common problem in movies...

And yes, Death Note on Netflix was also bad for those reasons too. Not seen it but heard the move on Netflix was terrible. Then again its not like the live drama in Japan was any better, not that i have seen it but L is british, Light is Japanese. I just like realism and its those details that takes me away from it. Though i guess this is not important to everyone, i just tend to be more specific about it.
