Screams hard enough to be heard everywhere in the plane, and for literally 8 hours, no naps either. Of course there would be few min breaks here and there.

Second question, would it be your fault if you screamed back at the kid, or threatened him, considering you are miles high, and can't leave the plane? That would be pretty much torture in every way.

Third question, would it be ok to force the kid to take sedatives in your opinion?

I feel sorry for the poor kid, going on a plane can be seriously scary, especially when you're that young. He obviously didn't want to be doing it.

TBH, I probably would've lost my temper and attacked the kid. Thank god for us both I wasn't on that flight.

I mean, let's be real here for a minute. Planes are large enough, surely they can come up with a concept of a sound resistant area of the plane, likely far in the back in a similar size to first class where passengers that are sick, or have unruly children with behavioral problems can be taken back to and secluded from the rest of the passengers. I'm not saying like a small holding cell or anything, but simply a 6 to 10 seat area where problems like these can be moved and resolved, especially during long flights.

Obviously, no you shouldn't be permitted to scream back at the child, or require the parents to sedate the child, both are ridiculous. This can be prevented with something like I suggested here. I also think it should be in place for the sanity and consideration of the other passengers.

What if you were sitting next to him? Think about it, you can't sleep, can't focus on anything so no distractions, idk if you can wear earplugs on a plane, and even if you could they wouldn't help because you're too close to the source of sound.

Make the parent of the screaming child pay the fares of every passenger. That will pull them into line and actually do something about their little shit

..I read that giving your kid cough syrup to knock him out for a flight is actually advised lmao.

And yes. I would have been pissed the hell off.

The kid is climbing chairs and running around.

If the kid has mental issues. Which I think he has. They should have prepped better. Because 8 hours of That? I would have noped the fuck out and asked for another flight.

You can wear earphones on a plane, but not even the type of noise cancelling earphones pilots use would block out a screaming monster next to you

In the link to the video, they didn't put the kid anywhere. Her mother was apparently powerless, and didn't do shit. The little monster just made everyone's flight pure hell.

tough shit. I've seen a bit of the video, and from what i gather the kid is screaming/ crying because (i assume) he does not like being on that plane. Sure i'd be annoyed / irritated, but i wouldn't take it out on the kid. It's a shitty situation but just deal with it.

if the parents ignored it, and didn't do anything to try and pacify him, then there is blame to go on them. I'm not exactly sure how this all played out

Well that's exactly what i'm saying. They should create another section of the plane for these situations, where the passenger doesn't have to be kicked off, but they can be separated from causing a disturbance from the other passengers. Granted it would eliminate seating from the plane, which isn't profitable, but can end a lot of these issues. Even I flew once, and an adult was freaking out as it was their first time flying, and it made a lot of people, especially children, very uncomfortable and nervous. Being able to take them to a private area would benefit not only them, but everyone else flying.

A structure like, when you walk onto the plane there's first class, then coach, and behind coach a 3rd section with doors instead of curtains that can muffle out sound, but still be a comfortable area with seats, and televisions and whatnot.

Their efforts weren't too good. Everytime the mother tried anything the kid just screamed harder.

It'd wear me down after the first 20 minutes and I'd probably have some choice words for the parents. Seriously. Make your kid be quiet and be respectful to fellow passengers.

Makes sense, but i kinda doubt they won't ever do anything like that. If they would they would had done so already, though i guess they would think of something in EXTREME case, though not even kid screaming 8 hours didn't make them do shit, so idk what would be actually extreme case.

If the kid was scared, he/she would be crying. This is just a kid screaming to hear how loud its voice can be because he/she has shitty parents. It's even evidenced in the video that the kid has been conditioned to only behave when holding an iPad.

In all seriousness, i've likely flown 50+ times in my life and only once had a somewhat strange/awkward experience. Otherwise it's been fine with no issues, opposed to sitting next to a stranger that wants to talk.

Basically, I think things like this happening are very far and few between.

just watched part of the video. that kid isnt scared. it may or may not want to be there, but it didnt show an inclination either way.

it is definitely, 100%, throwing a tantrum for the hell of it because it thinks it can get away with it. and it did. this is why spanking is required.

Oh I've flown a good number of times too and nothing majorly bad has happened, it's just a headache sometimes. I once had a flight where there was a baby crying for a large majority of the flight. I know I'm not the only one who noticed because when the plane landed and people started getting up I saw a lot of people looking back towards the woman with the baby (and they did not seem pleased)

Of course, like Louis CK has said, flying is a hell of a lot better than the alternative of like taking a ship in many cases. I hope I am rich someday so I can afford first class, coach has been getting smaller and smaller -.-
