I just looked, and it seems to be Wakanda's plane of collective memory, or something like that

It's likely powered by the soul stone. It's the one infinity gem we haven't seen yet and there's little reason for Thanos to invade Wakanda otherwise.

at the same time, it's shitty for half the stones to be on earth

Lol I always get a kick out of the fact that Thor wasted years of his life

Anyway, I don't think it's an actual afterlife, more of like what someone else said above, where it's a form of collective conscious

Would have been dope if they just redid the Thanos Quest

Well, Thanos sent two of them there himself, no? The tesseract and Loki's staff

pretty sure he was just stoned on whatever was in that herb. I don't think it was a literal afterlife.

Hmm but Killmonger's Dad seemed to have his own form of purgatory.

The spirit stone theory does make sense. Maybe you can use it to contact the dead.

Maybe the thing that fell to earth wasn't vibranium but the soul stone and the soul stone just turned the mountain it landed on into vibranium.

would also tie in nicely to why all life originated from Wakanda.

he sent the staff, but Odin hid the tesseract
I guess technically the time stone might not be on Earth but since Strange can get there instantly it might as well be

Just because Strange can get there doesn't mean Thanos can. I mean, wherever it was hidden was also safe from Dormammu.

My problem isn't really with how easy it is for Thanos to collect if they're grouped up, it's my dislike for making humans special.

Time - humans have via sorcerers
Space - humans had via Odin, Red Skull, Howard Stark, and SHIELD
Mind - humans had via Loki, SHIELD, HYDRA
Reality - humans had via the convergence
Power - humans had via Star-Lord being able to touch it

Granted the last two aren't really the same as having it on Earth, and as said the mind stone was there because of Thanos/Loki so it gets a little pass, but for me this is already too much and I dislike it.
I get it because of plot convenience, but that's making the universe feel really small. Having the Soul stone be in Wakanda would be so lame. To say nothing of the implications of black people having soul.
