The other day a friend of mine asked for $10. He was in Vegas and supposedly didnt get paid until the end of the day. So he didnt have any money. I quickpayd him $10. Knowing him I wasnt expecting the money back despite all the begging and promises. 10 bucks no big deal.

Next week I teased him about my $10 bucks because he broke his promise. I hate asking for my money. His excuses annoyed me and I couldn't bother myself asking again.

The other time he seriously needed money. This time at least $650. He would pay me by the end of the week. And he did. Only not in full and he had an attitude instead of being grateful I saved his ass. I figured I wont ask him again because its a burden to our friendship. In my mind, i just let him have it because fighting over $650 is not worth risking our friendship. After that he mysteriously disappears. He stopped blowing up my phone every other day.

Eventually he paid in full 2 months later without me asking. I was impressed. He's very opportunistic, so this was a change.

Not even a week later he asks for $9,000. Yup $9,000. I dont know why anyone needs $9,000 upfront. I got pissed because its insulting. If I cant trust you with $10 bucks and $ 650 bucks, forget $9000. I have known him since high-school but I had to cut ties. Sucks because I dont have much friends but damn some people are just entitled parasites.

I loaned my friend 350 once, he was broke. I said that i'm in no hurry to the money back. 1,5 years later i started reminding him about the cash, and all i got insulting jokes and change of the subject all the time.few months later he told me he was getting MASSIVE tax return and i asked if he could pay me back then, "we'll see" was the reply. Guy had no depts to anyone and was doing financially good. I decided to wait until he gets his taxes and if he hadn't paid me back at then i would had either A. Broken some of his stuff for revenge, B. Fought him, C. Just took some of his stuff. All those options would had led to ending our friendship.

Theres people (friends and family) that are burden to me and I dont let them borrow money under any circumstance. Now im seriously considering letting them borrow money so they can willfully disappear from my life. its like opting out for a fee.

My limit for that is generally around $20.

There's things like payday loans and shit if you need money that you can pay back at the end of the week.

Lent a friend $150 a couple weeks ago. She's a single mother in a pretty rough financial situation, so I told her she could take her time and that I wasn't in a hurry. We had been drifting apart anyway, but she completely disappeared. Tried messaging her once (not about the money), and it didn't show as read until several days later. No response. I'm guessing at this point that I'm probably not going to get the money back. Oh well. Not sure I'll be so quick to lend money again.
