Now obviously you have games like GTA and Elder Scrolls in which you kill people. Killing is seen as a very casual thing in gaming and its been there since basically the 80's through arcade games such as Space Invaders. Now, would you ever play a school shooter simulator? A torture game?

I remember hearing about that Japanese rape game. Wouldn't play that.

And for the "Oh but you'll kill people in games, how's that different?", different areas of your brain would light up on a scan. The shit isn't the same.

Those of you that play H-Games and the like probably beat it to them. I doubt anyone yanks it to MK fatalities. I hope not anyway...

I actually have played both.

They both sucked, since they focused on shock value over actual gameplay.

Tbh rather than ethics those games would feel gimmicky and bad. But if one with gameplay I like came out I'd be all over it.

I definitely have problems playing violent games that have reached a certain level of realism. I'm not sure if I'd say this is ethics related since I don't really have a problem killing characters in games that aren't as realistic but it's sort of similar I suppose.

This. Like I literally stopped upgrading Lara's skills in Tomb Raider after my first time to avoid the gratuitious melees and silent takedowns.

But what if those games were actually good? Imagine like at least Skyrim quality or something. Would that change your opinion?
