Well, I don't know how well the available designs actually replicate older versions of the site, but I just tried them out and they're all hard to look at.

Except of course for Awesome Mode which is great

I used the Wayback Machine to look at old versions of GameFAQs. I must've forgotten about pre-blue and white.

The real problem is that all of the old nostalgia skins are from v9, which was from like 2004 and earlier.

To this day I still say that v11 looked the best (with some of the functionality from v12 and later admittedly being worthwhile as well), and I would absolutely love it if someone designed a skin from that era, but pretty much everyone with technical talent stopped giving a single shit about this site years ago (and I include the people actually running this site in that statement), so that's never going to happen.

Instead, I'm mostly just parked on a slightly custom version of v13 that I always sort of slightly resent.

That makes sense. I don't remember what 10-12 looked like anymore, but those were probably all the old ones I experienced and I at least remember them not looking like shit.

i think that this design has been the best so far.

it's not egregiously blue unless you want it to be, everything is clean looking, it doesn't look like a geocities website anymore
