If so, what made you root it?

I wanted to get the most out of my device, mostly AdAway and the ability to update to a newer OS. My phone is 2 years old but I have Android 8.1. doesn't get any better than that. also I don't like bloatware.

Yes, it's incredibly easy to root pixel devices

I use a few apps that require root access.

I'd love to get a T Mobile plan with unlimited data, root the phone and use it as a wireless hot spot. Verizon is tighter with their data than McDonalds is with chicken nugget sauce.
