dream scenario: start my own publishing company that sells french philosophy books (i have a philosophy degree right now)

good scenario: i work as a translator of philosophy books for someone else

okay scenario: i work as a generic translator (i can't imagine this job will be around for that long)

i can get the degree in 2-3 years and it wouldn't cost too much money.

I can't imagine why you would need a degree, unless you can take the classes for free and want to for whatever reason

i'm a natural french speaker and this didn't occur to me until a month or two ago. a local university has a translation program, but i know for academic books, you usually need a phd to translate it. to be honest i need to research everything a bit more.
