What do you guys think of the game now?

I still like the game, ever since it was released. I still like training my skills and participating in the For Glory mode (and occasionally the For Fun mode for the usual shits and giggles.) I still enjoy watching competitive Smash like in the EVO tournament.

With 3D turned off, it was still dizzying on the go. On that note SSBB turns 10 next month.

I stopped playing a while ago. Just not as fun as Melee and Brawl were.

And the competitive play also isn't as fun to watch anymore. Partially because of Bayonetta and Cloud, but I think it would be falling off even without their presence.

I played the shit out of the first one and Melee.

Brawl did a lot of things right but it was just too.. different. Didn't feel much like the same game. Movements felt slow and "floaty."

My roommate had a Wii-U so I did end up picking up the last one but I didn't play it very long at all. It was great, but it was sort of just more of the same and didn't seem to capture my interest as much. I think not having a "proper" controller to play on hurt my desire to play it as well.

It was fun and probably a decent best case scenario for what they were trying to do. I mean it definitely had flaws and theres no such thing as a roster that everyone will agree with, but all in all, I think it was a good entry to the series.

The physics are still shitty, but the general feel is a little better than Brawl at least. Something about most characters themselves just feels off though, Villager and Mega Man are the only ones who really "click" and Mega Man is far away from everyone else anyways.

3DS had better stages, and is better suited to doing quick matches with the AI. Only reason I'd dig up the Wii U version is online, since 3DS is unplayable there with more than two players, but For Fun is just Taunt Parties 2.0: Taunt Softer. So with online tournaments dead with Miiverse, and none of my pals playing Smash 4 anymore, there's really no reason for me to not just play on 3DS.
