Wouldn't it make more sense to make an earnest effort after Valentines day? That way there's no pressure driving people crazy and you're not spending all your money trying to perform some idea of engaged romantic SO to impress someone you will probably have separated with by year's end?

Whether you're looking for a relationship or just looking to get laid, now is a good time to make a move. You don't have to do something fancy and spend a ton of money on Valentine's Day; just giving a girl someone to spend time with if she'd be alone otherwise is fine (the assumption here is a completely new girl, BTW). --- - The Admiral ...
