way better core gameplay than Hyrule Warriors but it could use more moveset and fanservice variety, I understand holding off reps from other games for future entries though

The shitty roster is why I didn't buy the game despite how hyped I was about its announcement. I love how the logic IS gave fans for not including more characters outside of Awakening, Fates, and Shadow Dragon was "too many sword users" and yet the roster they made with just those games still has too many sword users.

Not to mention that a lot of the characters are clones with the same move sets. IS really annoy me with their constant pandering to Awakening and Fates fans while simultaneously giving the middle finger to anyone who likes FE games that came before Awakening.

still think they should've done Shadow Dragon/Sacred Stones/Fates for this game then Warriors 2 would introduce Genealogy/Blazing Sword/Awakening for generational shenanigans, then 3 would have Gaiden/Path of Radiance/newer games

Imagine just how unique Hector would've been for the game. Or Ephraim. Or Lilina. Or hell, even Roy, really

Games fun but yeah it lacks Lance users. If you like the game a lot you should buy the Fates DLC, it comes with 2 Lance users and an archer.

It was the same with Fire Emblem Heroes for a while. Out of the first 7 seasonal event banners, 26 of the 28 event characters were from Awakening and Fates, and those two that weren't were in the very first seasonal banner. We're only just now getting a banner that's primarily non-3DS characters (the current Valentines banner that's all characters from Binding Blade and Blazing Blade) and it's been more than a year since the game launched. That's just ridiculous.

Hopefully the second year continues on this path and brings more seasonal characters from the older games. That can be changed, but Warriors is a lost cause.

They were still under the impression that people are only interested in Awakening and Fates for the first year of FEH and during the production of Warriors. Hopefully Warriors has a shit enough sales that they realize their errors
