In addition they dumped him once his factory was shut down, dunno if that's standard operating procedure but either way they failed to stop the quick shutdown or find him another job They were invented for a reason and are a good idea on paper and we shouldn't not have them but having to pay a shadowy group of coworkers or whatever that may or may not actually help you when you need it seems to run contrary to American values. The districts expect us to turn water into wine and back again, then get mad at us if we fall short because students get expelled, are truant, or just dont give a fuck. Ive known teachers, who bust their ass at their jobs, fired because they had one bad ass class that bombed their tests on purpose. Without unions, classrooms would be filled with subs and first year teachers or TFAs.
