Why not try to find the reason why you can't sleep instead of taking pills? It's better to find the root of the problem.

I wish I could take trazodone :( I have a super rare reaction to it that causes my throat to swell to the point that I can barely swallow anything. It works wonders though. Good sleep, better feeling overall. But with melatonin @MordecaiRocks what dose are you taking.... Try to lower your dosage to 1mg or less. It sounds counterproductive, but low dose melatonin is much more effective as a sleep aid than higher doses. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm taking 5mg because it was the only one the cvs I went to had, if I can find a lower dosage I'll try that. What are higher dosages intended for?
