That crashing the particles together like they were doing would open to the door to alternate realities.

The amount of "unlimited energy" they required is not possible in an enclosed universe. Thus you have to get the energy from other dimensions.

There are some hints but it wasn't fleshed out enough. Like maybe the crew was being killed because they were supposed to be dead in that universe they were in.
Or that guys arm felt like it wasn't his and why did it know about the gyroscope? Then I thought they'd have some loop where the ending is basically how the movie begins when they find the girl in the wall. Like I think the ship was some god like thing once they used the particle accelerator and it was trying to balance universes. I dunno ... Copied to Clipboard!
