Part of me feels bad that this cartoon cracks me up. Its got some lowball fucking humor. I wonder how much heat it would get if it released nowadays.

I fucking loved it tbh.

It had funny bits but was mostly disappointing since it had pretty much a slamdunk comedy premise and mostly squandered it with really bland cringey "shock" and gross-out humor.

Yeah it was fucking funny. We can say for sure that it's the best cartoon comedy because it got cancelled after just 3 seasons. I need to acquire the uncensored version of the whole run
Funniest episode is probably Lost in Parking Space, I can't remember that much of it but I remember it had all kinds of (sort of uncharacteristically) clever/witty jokes. The one where Captain Hero meets his parents is probably tied with it actually Favorite moments were the one where some character dies (can't remember) and at the funeral the priest reads from the Book of Mormon, and the part from the season 3 finale where Captain Hero is singing a musical number on one of those bench swings and he takes a little boy up into the area above the stage and then --- He which make friends with scorpion, soon come to find out what a scorpion does - they bite people with its tail --ancient Chinese proverb ... Me and my best friend used to watch it all the damn time in college. Someone bought all of the seasons for him and it was ridiculous, haha.
