Little bit of backstory - I'm mixed race. Most people assume I'm white but at some angles you can kind of tell I'm mixed.

My mother is Chinese. Dad is european (as european as Texas goes, at least)

Just went down to do an admit and, I kid you not, the patient loudly proclaims "I don't want one of them Spanish doctors"

There are a bunch of levels to that quote I simply don't understand. In retrospect it's so bone-crunchingly stupid it's almost comical.

Best part is that the ER doc that worked him up for chest pain has a last name of Ruiz
